About Us

We’re a husband-and-wife photography duo who love seeing the world through a lens — and sometimes re-imagining it altogether.

I have been taking photographs since my teens, back when the dinosaurs roamed the earth
(well maybe not quite that long ago) and film was king.
The modest Praktica cameras were what I used and still have.

Long before digital and autofocus (so glad of it now though, the eyes are not as good as they used to be you know), I was learning one frame at a time — lessons that, I still try to employ and improve on, to shape our work today.

My wife, on the other hand, joined the journey later… mostly because when we got together, the choice was simple: pick up a camera or be bored stiff. Thankfully, she chose the camera — and a creative partnership was born.

I am always humbled by how good she is, quite often bringing a different perspective to the same scene. The phrase “now the student has become the master” comes to mind (oh did I say I am also a bit of a
sci-fi nerd, only a bit honest).

Together, we capture moments as they are and sometimes push them further through creative and digital art, blending reality with imagination. Our work is inspired by everyday beauty, quiet details, and the things that make us stop and look twice.

At the heart of it, we create because we enjoy it — and we hope that enjoyment comes through in what we share.

The Harlow Times is a quarterly, full-colour, A4-size     
magazine received by over 38,000 homes in Harlow.
