Autumn is just leaving us behind now but just last week the sun was out (I admit for only a couple of hours) so a visit to Harlow Town Park was calling. Now this is our local park and it is only 10 to 15 minutes walk away and it is well worth that walk. The low sun was not out for long as I have said, but the light quality was fantastic. Combine this with the deep blue skies (which later turned very grey and drab), the bright white cloud and I believe the resulting images are quite pleasant, they certainly make me smile and hopefully you too.
Many images were taken, so many I haven't got them all edited yet and although it was much colder than it looks it was a great two hours well spent. I would like to think that no matter where you live everybody could do the same and get out there for a couple of hours. In this day and age practically everybody has a camera in their pocket yes on your mobile phone. So why not get out yourself and have a go. If you are not near a park try something different. Maybe there is a tree in a street near you try and get a great image of that, or try some street photography or abstract patterns on the pavement or a wall, or get closer to something for a more detailed image, a leaf, a ball on an iron gate, get the idea. Its endless only limited by your imagination. Not only will you find you could enjoy it you are also getting out, adding to those steps, keeping active and also giving your brain a workout. You may just get that image worthy of getting printed and taking pride of place on your wall, an early Christmas Present to yourself. Lest We Forget We Will Remember On this Remembrance Sunday the two images above are my small tribute to all those that have perished in conflict.
I hope that in the future the Human Race will put aside their differences. Peace, Harmony and Respect for Everyone will be real options. Truly we should learn from the past, stop making mistakes and stop repeating them time after time. Sad News
You have already missed the Magnum 5 Day Sale. Magnum Photos is a New York based photographic co-operative founded in 1947. The aim was to chronicle world events in their own way. Apparently the name was derived from the magnum-sized bottle of wine that they drank at each meeting. As you see from the image 6 x 6 inch prints were $100 £77.35. Great News Although we are not magnum photographers and do not claim to be. We are still offering images, e.g. a 12 x 18 inch print is £140.00. An equivalent Magnum Print would cost £464.10 (Sale Price). No we are not Magnum but if you want quality service and great prices we may just be your guilty pleasure tipple.
