If you understand any of this could you please explain it to me! Hello to all. No, I’m not going to say it, not this time. I say it every time, it seems but not this time. However, I am sure you know what I would normally say, enough said, no need to elaborate this time I will not say it. Mind you if you are reading this, thinking what is this madman going on about? This isn’t what I thought I was going to read, I wanted intelligent informative dialect, I’m going. Just hang on a moment, if you would be so kind and I will elaborate. You are obviously new to our Blogs, so welcome. So glad to meet you, grab a drink (of your own choosing), pull up a comfy chair and settle in for some of the most interesting, most scintillating and most enlightening writing of this century, no, may I say ever before since time began. Erm, well maybe in reality just some lighthearted musings to pass a few minutes of your day and a few images as well. Oh, and to address the elephant in the room…..Mr Elephant could you please explain to the newbies that if they take a look at some of our other blogs, they will soon see a theme appearing where I am constantly mentioning something. It is not a prerequisite and really it should not affect your enjoyment or not of this one blog. Who knows if you can ignore the need to read previous blogs to find out, maybe you just love the suspense of not knowing. Do do do do, Do do do do (it’s the Twilight Zone theme). What do you mean you didn’t see the elephant, he is right there, yes right in front of you. So, welcome to the March 2026 blog. How is the year treating you so far? Good, good that’s great. Today I will be mostly talking about creative experimentation. If I get the blog finished in time it will almost be Mother’s Day. These are some artistic versions of flower bouquets created some years ago now. Ideal for this time of year or any other, a permanent reminder of the day, the perfect gift (in my humble opinion). These are examples of what I meant by experimentation. These were our original photos, turned into artistic versions. This is one of my favourite things to dabble with creating art from our images. Far from being the only kind of experimentation though. I also like to try compositing (the action or activity of combining two or more images to make a single picture). I am no expert, but then experimentation for me is fun, making mistakes and learning is all part of it. You may or may not know that I love a bit of Sci Fi, so these are just a logical extension of that love. Ideas have come from trips away or even visits to a local store which has a “Range” of goods (ssshhh tell no one). You may well spot some more store items in images here. Get a friend or partner, make a game of it see how many you can spot and compare your lists. Well not just a blog, a game too. How much value for money do you need? Hang on this is completely free, Doh, what kind of fool am I? The more I am writing about experimenting, the more I am thinking yes, it is experimentation, however, is it not also part of my/our style. I think there may also be an argument here for that too. Following the style theory this could mean that even your choice of colour or monochrome for a particular image is also experimentation. Vintage style, double exposures, fine art finishes (contentious still not sure what deems fine art). In fact, I think I have talked myself out of this topic, it isn’t experimenting, it’s just doing or is it, or maybe not, I’m not sure. The thing is whatever you want to do and enjoy doing, then, as the slogan says, “just do it”, and don’t worry about what it is, it just is. I have ideas all the time so many I forget half of them. Yes, I know my wife is always telling me write them down, but then I have to remember to do that too. Sometimes I even do. I also have many ideas about creating things that are still in the pipeline. Most of which you may not see (I still haven’t found my outlet, my go to place for you to take a walk through my mind. I will try to show you via social media and this website), as I do these things primarily for me and hope that you all like them. Like throughout this blog, these images are not the norm, however I still hope you like them, but they do give me pleasure and some of them hang on our walls. Warning - these next images may contain more scary content or be slightly contentious so please be aware. That’s enough of the scary stuff for now. So, the question was do you create and do you experiment? Maybe you do too and you find as much pleasure in the diversity as I do. It’s nice to get your own ideas down on paper in one way or another. I never have been one for following a crowd, don’t get me wrong I love taking photographs just for what they are too, and yes when spring comes like everybody else, I am outside capturing the flowers and new life bursting forth. You may have already seen some on our Facebook page. Yep, I also experiment with these as well. Like above I love creating for Sci Fi, scary and special occasions etc. etc. I guess it is also my thing. I love any niche too, for instance I don’t see a lot of art for fisherman. Maybe something with a musical theme, a spot of ancient Egypt, or even some vintage cars. Once you understand that in every choice that you make that takes you away from the original image or is that idea sitting there waiting to get out. Then everything is experimentation. Everyone loves animals, right? I could go on and on but by now I am sure that you have got the idea. Maybe you might even be a bit inspired to try a bit of experimentation yourselves. I will leave you with a few more of our eclectic images, concepts, experimentations whatever you really want to call them and hope you have liked at least one of them from the blog. If you have liked more, fantastic. You can always leave a comment on our Facebook page letting us know what you think. I realise this was a bit different, but I was interested to see what you thought and if you follow similar processes. Finally, how about some real-life comic heroes created with a comic style. I think this chap in the last image was sure something strange was going on. On reflection I can see more than one recurrent theme running through the blogs. I hope these idiosyncrasies of mine are some of the reasons that you return to read more. Or maybe there is no one left and you all went. It does sound a bit echoey in here when I think about it. Damn my teachers were right, I must do better. If anyone is left, oh yes, of course, there is at least one. Thank you, Mr Elephant, for staying. I hope you have a great springtime. Time for me to go. (singing to myself of course) I dabbled and dibbled, dibbled and I dabbled lost my thoughts and don’t know where to roam. I know it’s not the right words, I’m not an idiot (perplexed look just fell over my face). Oh yes, just to confirm we do have them on our walls. In fact we have them everywhere around the house lol.😁 Ta ra.
